Sr. Laurine Stefany, RSM

Sr. Laurine Stefany, RSM joined the faculty of Incarnation Catholic School as a Third Grade teacher assistant in the winter of January 2002. Before Incarnation School, Mercy Sister Laurine brings lots of prior professional experience and good education practices. Sister has ministered for twenty-five years in St. Joseph School, Keyport, NJ as a middle school mathematics and religion teacher, curriculum coordinator, and part-time administrator. Prior to service at St. Joseph School, she has taught in several Trenton and Camden Diocesan schools. In the Mercy tradition, she holds an A.B. in Elementary Education from Georgian Court University and a M.A. in Education from Seton Hall University as well as Post Graduate Certifications in Guidance PreK-12 and Instructional Technology. Recognition kudos have been received, among them being nominations from former students for Teacher Who’s Who’s, recognition for Years of Dedicated Service in the Trenton Diocese and the recipient of Trenton Diocesan Teacher of the Year from St. Joseph School. Sister Laurine’s vision is to empower each child to develop his/her fullest potential in an authentic Catholic atmosphere of love and care while striving to promote the mastery of basic skills, instilling in each child a sense of self-worth, a spirit of discovery and inquiry, and enthusiasm for lifelong learning, and capable of facing the complex challenges of today and tomorrow.
