Incarnation Catholic School provides a Catholic liberal arts education rooted in tradition and centered on the Eucharist, forming the whole person through academic excellence, spiritual formation, and a life of service, inspiring students to grow in faith, knowledge, and love as they seek truth, beauty, and goodness in the mission of Jesus Christ.
PHILOSOPHY
At ICS, we envision a community where each child is formed in wisdom and virtue to know, love, and serve God. Rooted in the Catholic faith and the classical liberal arts tradition, we cultivate a love of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness through rigorous academics, joyful discipleship, and a culture of reverence and respect. Partnering with families, we strive to shape saints and scholars, young men and women who think clearly, act rightly, speak eloquently, and live faithfully in service to Christ and others.

GOALS OF THE EDUCATION PROGRAM
- Fully integrate the Catholic classical liberal arts philosophy across all areas of school life - ICS seeks to form students in truth, goodness, and beauty by embedding the Catholic classical liberal arts approach into curriculum, instruction, culture, prayer, and community life. This includes strengthening our Catholic identity, deepening our communal life of faith, and ensuring that every aspect of the school reflects our mission to form disciples of Christ.
- Cultivate virtue, respect, and a joyful love of learning - We strive to help students develop a positive self-concept rooted in their identity as children of God, to practice charity and respect toward others, and to delight in learning. Through classical pedagogy, character formation, and meaningful relationships, ICS fosters habits of mind and heart that support lifelong learning and growth in virtue.
- Strengthen formation through service and lived discipleship - Aligned with our mission and the Church’s call to holiness, students engage in service opportunities that allow them to practice their faith in concrete, meaningful ways. These experiences help students grow in empathy, responsibility, gratitude, and a desire to serve Christ in others.
- Equip students with strong academic foundations and essential skills for future vocations - Our classical curriculum emphasizes deep thinking, problem‐solving, clear communication, collaboration, and the ability to analyze, articulate, and engage with ideas. Students learn to use knowledge rightly and develop the intellectual and practical skills needed to flourish in high school, college, and future vocations.
- Form stewards who care for our school, parish, community, and the world - ICS aims to instill responsibility, reverence, and gratitude for the gifts entrusted to us, our school and parish facilities, our local community, and God’s creation. Students learn to care for their environment, practice leadership, and contribute positively to the common good.
- Address the needs of individual learners through professional excellence and ongoing faculty formation - As part of our strategic plan, ICS is committed to strengthening teaching effectiveness through high-quality professional development rooted in classical education, Catholic identity, and instructional rigor. By supporting faculty growth, we better serve the diverse needs of our students and ensure consistent, mission-driven instruction across all grade levels.

CORE VIRTUES AND HABITS OF MIND
Be a Saint: Our ICS Way At ICS, our approach to student formation is inspired by St. John Bosco’s Salesian Way, which emphasizes joy, responsibility, faith, kindness, and service. St. John Bosco believed that children grow best when they are loved, guided with patience, and encouraged to pursue holiness through everyday actions. We have adopted these principles as “Be a Saint: Our ICS Way.” Through this framework, students are taught that sainthood is not reserved for extraordinary moments but is lived out daily through ordinary choices. Our “Be a Saint” ways include: I will be cheerful. I will do my duties well. I will stay close to Jesus in the Eucharist. I will honor and love Mary as our Mother and Helper. I choose to be kind. I want to serve rather than be served. Students who consistently demonstrate these virtues are recognized and celebrated within our school community. As a visible reminder of this commitment, students may earn and wear a green “Be a Saint” bracelet, symbolizing their efforts to live out these values both at school and beyond. Through the Salesian Way and our Be a Saint initiative, we seek to form not only strong students, but joyful disciples—young people who strive for holiness, grow in virtue, and reflect Christ’s love in all they do. BELIEF STATEMENTS
At ICS, we believe that the purpose of education is the formation of the whole person, body, mind, and soul, in pursuit of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.
At ICS, we believe that the purpose of education is the formation of the whole person, body, mind, and soul, in pursuit of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.
- We believe each child is a beloved son or daughter of God, uniquely created with gifts to be cultivated in faith, reason, and virtue. We are committed to nurturing these gifts within a Christ-centered environment, guided by the teachings of the Church and accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference in accordance with the Diocese of Venice.
- We believe that Catholic education is a sacred mission, one that proclaims the Gospel, celebrates the Sacraments, forms intentional disciples, builds virtuous communities, and calls each person to serve with joy and humility.
- We believe parents are the first and most important educators of their children. In partnership with them, we strive to form students in wisdom and holiness through faithful instruction and example.
- We believe our faculty, staff, and parish community share in this sacred work. Our teachers are knowledgeable, certified, and committed to the intellectual and moral formation of every student through a curriculum rooted in the classical liberal arts tradition.
- We believe all students are capable of wonder, discovery, and growth in an environment that demands excellence, supports varied learning styles, and prioritizes both discipline and joy in learning.
- We believe that a culture of mutual respect, for persons, property, and the sacred, is essential to building a safe, ordered, and life-giving learning environment where virtue can flourish.
The Gifts of C.H.R.I.S.T. are dispositions made up of four (4) Catholic virtues (humility, prudence, fortitude, and affability) and the three (3) transcendentals (truth, beauty, and goodness). Through STREAM and learning experiences at a Diocese of Venice Catholic school, students will learn about the gifts of CHRIST and how to consciously think about the different gifts through different experiences in their daily lives. When a person subconsciously embodies specific habits, behaviors, and responses in his or her daily life, they become dispositions related to the individual.
It is our goal for students to respond to challenging situations by using the Gifts of CHRIST both inside and outside the classroom.
