Mission & Goals
Incarnation Catholic School exists to provide an education of excellence while fostering within the community the mission of Jesus Christ for all to grow in faith, knowledge, and love of God.
Goals of the Education Program
- Integrate the Catholic classical liberal arts philosophy into all aspects of school life to provide opportunities to strengthen the faith community.
- Help students develop a positive self-concept, an attitude of respect toward all others and a love for learning.
- Strengthen the service component for all students to help them practice their faith on a practical level.
- Equip students with the skills necessary to function effectively as productive adults in a society in which solving problems, working cooperatively and accessing, communicating and using information is of primary importance.
- Develop a sense of responsibility for our school/parish facilities, our neighborhoods and our world.
- Strive to meet the needs of individual students through professional development of our faculty and staff.
Core Virtues and Habits of Mind
As Saints we RISE and as a school we emphasize these core virtues in conjunction with our habits of mind, Gifts of CHRIST. Respect - At ICS, staff and students honor the worth and dignity of themselves and others. It allows us to live in harmony with each other. Integrity - At ICS, staff and students do what is moral and display empathy for others by showing compassion, understanding, kindness and honesty. Service - At ICS, staff and students give to others with commitment, love and excellence. Excellence - At ICS, staff and students try their best to be successful by giving careful attention to all relationships and tasks. |

The Gifts of C.H.R.I.S.T. are dispositions made up of four (4) Catholic virtues (humility, prudence, fortitude, and affability) and the three (3) transcendentals (truth, beauty, and goodness). Through STREAM and learning experiences at a Diocese of Venice Catholic school, students will learn about the gifts of CHRIST and how to consciously think about the different gifts through different experiences in their daily lives. When a person subconsciously embodies specific habits, behaviors, and responses in his or her daily life, they become dispositions related to the individual.
It is our goal for students to respond to challenging situations by using the Gifts of CHRIST both inside and outside the classroom.
